Daniel passed January 4, 1902 and is buried in the Willoughby Cemetery.
Daniel and his brother, John Saxton, served together during the war and their names are listed on the
Willoughby Civil War Monument dedicated July 4 1885.

William Stamm was born in Germany in 1844. He married Katharina Schearmoer on 14 Aug 1865 in St. Louis, MO.
She received his pension of $8.00 a month upon his death on 12 Jul 1890.

Aaron Andrew Taylor was born in New York on 2 November 1843, the son of Luzerne and Hannah (Platner) Taylor.
Though living in Dunbar, Minnesota he mustered out of Camp Fry, Chicago, Illinois as a Private in the 147th Infantry in Co. D. On 21 February 1865 the regiment moved via Louisville, Kentucky to Nashville, Tennessee arriving on the 25th. “It then moved on to East Tennessee and on March 14, Major Bush, with about 125 men, went on an expedition to Mill Creek on the Cleveland Road and broke up a nest of guerrillas, having several skirmishes with them, 1 man of the regiment being wounded. On the 20th the same officer with seven companies of the regiment went to Spring Place, Georgia to break up guerrilla bands and protect Union men and their families. While en route, skirmishing took place between Federal scouts and guerrillas, one man on each side being wounded.”[1] The regiment did garrison duty in Georgia until 20 January 1866, when it was mustered out of service at Savannah on the 24th and left via steam for New York, arriving in Springfield, Illinois on February 4th.
Aaron Taylor returned to Freeborn, Minnesota where he married Abby Jane Whitelaw on 14 March 1869. Together they raised five children: Cora, Susie, Grace, Hannah and Arlington Arlos. Abby died 2 February 1912. Aaron moved to Colorado and remarried. He died at the Veterans Home in Sawtelle, California on 1 March 1930.
